His journey with the YMCA began from his own childhood experiences, where safe spaces and strong mentors played a key role in shaping the person he is today. Now, he gives back with heart and purpose by volunteering at YMCA branches in Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, and even internationally in Barranquilla, Colombia.

As part of a hands-on outreach initiative in Barranquilla, Colombia, I joined volunteers from YMCA Barranquilla to distribute meals to individuals experiencing homelessness in the city’s downtown area. This effort was more than just a food distribution—it was a moment of shared humanity, compassion, and community.
